How to sew on the patch:

  • Get a sewing needle and thread that is either the color of the shirt or the color of the edge of the patch.
  • Position the patch where you want it to go.
  • Try on the shirt with the patch held on with a safety pin to be sure it is positioned correctly.
  • Use a safety pin or straight pin to hold the patch on where you want it to go.
  • Cut a piece of thread. If you are not very familiar with sewing, start with a piece of thread no longer than 18 inches. Longer pieces tend to get tangled and are harder to work with than shorter one.
  • Thread the needle and tie a knot in the end of the thread.
  • Put the needle through the shirt under the patch to start the first stitch (so that the ends of the thread that are beyond the knot will be hidden under the patch and not stick out.)
  • Stick the needle back up through the shirt and catch the edge of the patch with the needle. Put the needle back through the shirt about 1/4" away. This was the first stitch.
  • Continue stitching the patch to the shirt all the way around the edge of the patch. Remove the pins.
  • When you have sewn all the way around the edge of the patch, knot the thread and pull the needle through between the patch and the shirt. Cut the ends of the thread beyond the knot to about ½” long. Tuck them under the patch.
  • All done.

Apply using an iron:

  • Pre-heat iron to “cotton” setting, does NOT use steam during this application.
  • Position the patch on the garment and cover the design with a thin pressing cloth.
  • Press straight down for 25 seconds with constant pressure – do NOT use back and forth motion.
  • Allow to cool thoroughly before using.

HOW TO APPLY THE DECALS

Our line of Lethal Threat decals are simple "Peel 'n Stick" type decals. For our smaller size decals we recommend a dry application. For our tank decals, or large decals, you can use the dry application or a wet application method. Instructions for both types of applications are below.

DRY APPLICATION

Clean the surface where you will apply the decal. Use window cleaner, soapy water or rubbing alcohol to prep the surface, and dry with a lint free cloth. Surface temperature should be 55F to 70F, and not in direct sunlight.

With clean dry hands, peel the sticker from the backing card. Try to handle the decal as little as possible, only holding by edges.

Line up the sticker how you would like it. Attach the bottom part of the sticker to the surface, using a sqeegee or credit card, rub the rest of the decal onto the surface.

If you do have any air bubbles trapped, use a pin to make a small hole and rub until all bubbles are out.

WET APPLICATION

Clean the surface where you will apply the decal. Use window cleaner, soapy water or rubbing alcohol to prep the surface, and dry with a lint free cloth. Surface temperature should be 55F to 70F, and notin direct sunlight.

Get a spray bottle, fill with water and add two to three drops of dish washing detergent. Shake bottle to mix solution. Spray a light mist of the fluid on the desired location where you will apply the decal.

With clean hands, peel the sticker from the backing paper. Do not let the decal stick to itself.

Position the decal in the misted desired location, using a squeegee or straight edge, rub the decal from the center out pushing out any trapped fluid and air bubbles.

For a custom look, some of our customers trim the excess clear border with a razor blad or X-ACTO knife and then apply the decal. We do not guarantee your results if you clear coat over our decals.
